About OpenBook
Mission
OpenBook is a transparency-first sports picks service. Every pick we publish is graded publicly, every result counts toward the record, and every signal that drove a decision is documented. We don't cherry-pick winners or hide losing streaks. The track record is the product.
Our daily cards are generated by Bookie, a signal-based engine that cross-references multiple data sources — Pinnacle closing lines for CLV analysis, VSiN for sharp money detection, and public betting percentages for contrarian angles. Every pick has a documented rationale.
What We're Not
- ✗ Not a tout service — we don't sell guaranteed winners
- ✗ Not a sportsbook — we don't take bets
- ✗ Not a tipster network — picks come from one engine, not a panel
- ✗ Not affiliated with any bookmaker — Bookie scans multiple books for best-line data
Our Process
Each morning, Bookie polls its data sources and generates a signal report for the day's games. We review the data, assess convergence between independent signals, and build a card of picks at varying conviction levels. Every pick is published before games start — no retroactive entries.
After games conclude, results are fetched and pick outcomes are recorded. The track record updates automatically. Wins, losses, and pushes all count. Nothing gets edited after the fact.
